Dating back to the mid-15th century and goldsmith Johannes Gutenberg, letterpress is one of the oldest printing methods still in use. It is a type of relief printing that leaves a beautiful, tactile finish — one perfect for preserving the memory of any event or special occassion.
All of our paper products are printed on an old-style Chandler & Price press from 1896. Prior to pressing your pieces, we turn your artwork into a plate, and that plate is attached to a metal base and then placed into the press. We hand mix the ink color, apply it to the letterpress rollers and then manually insert each piece of paper into the press, one by one — a process that calls for great precision and careful technique.

After an initial inquiry, we will estimate a job cost and send it along with a contract. The client will then return the signed contract along with a 50% deposit to cover supply costs. If design work is required, a first round of digital proofs is sent to client for approval and edits. When design is finalized, print production ensues. Print production takes about 3-4 weeks upon approval, plus shipping. The remainder of cost is due upon completion of the job. Any applicable shipping costs will be added at this time.
